Adoption Support Fund / Commissioned Work

I am experienced working with complex developmental trauma and attachment difficulties in both children, adolescents and adults. I understand the challenges in parenting adopted children who may have had significant early trauma and have spent many years working with adoptive parents and foster carers in developing therapeutic parenting skills. I am also experienced in working therapeutically with children and young people who have FASD and neurodevelopmental disorder or may present as neuroatypical. I regularly undertake work commissioned via the Adoption support fund as well as social care and the family courts. Work commissioned by the adoption support fund has included Family therapy, dyadic therapy and direct psychotherapy with children and adolescents.

I am trained to undertake Adult Attachment Interviews (AAI) and Transition to Adult Attachment Interviews (TAAI) as well as Meaning of the Child (MotC) assessments to help inform parenting work or court assessments or where individuals would like to understand more about their own attachment and information processing patterns as part of individual therapy.

I am available for commissioning of assessment and direct therapeutic work from the local authority and family courts as well as therapeutic work via adoption support fund. I am able to see individuals in my office near Lowestoft or travel within Norfolk and Suffolk to meet with clients. I am happy to attend attend reviews and provide reports on the therapeutic interventions I provide. Please contact me to discuss options regarding bespoke therapy packages best suited to individual and family need.
